I recently did a couple more tube swaps, these were drop in k7000 19" ones from year 2005 and 2000 made TVs that saw little use. When visually comparing the flyback found on the donor TV chassis to the replacement k7000 flybacks I have, the pin placement and overall structure looks near identical.
Basically I'm just asking if there is any further input in the past couple years regarding this now that so many more tube swaps are being done.
I have read online saying these ARE compatible with an arcade chassis and also another saying that YOU SHOULD NOT use them as they may not be up to spec and just wouldn't be worth the effort.
Regarding this issue, I'm first interested in safety, and second in recycling items that can be used again.
I personally wouldn't try this unless there was strong support to say it was safe to do so, and then I might just go with new ones anyway.
