K7000 recapped no power

It looks like the pin guide came off the tube and is stuck in the neck socket. Can you gently remove it? Maybe it's intact and it's just the sealant that was holding it to the tube that gave way. If not, then you'll want to find/make a new one.

Here is the one I printed from Thingiverse for a CR-23 (fat neck) next to a 19" K7000 with a CR-31 skinny neck. They look similar but the 3D printed one is absolutely too big for that tube neck. It will fit a 25" (what I printed it for) or a fat neck 19".

i already tried to remove it and i dont think its in there, which is why i am trying to print a new one

Maybe just a very different socket design. It (and the entire neck board) don't look anything like the K7000 I'm doing right now

OK now I see it. Also realizing it's a 25" which is why it looks different than the 19" im working on. Yeah, that neck socket looks like it's crumbling. I think APAR sells replacements you may want to consider…

Anyway, the pin guide on Thingiverse will fit that, I have already used one on a 25" K7000, and recently printed another for a similar monitor.

well i got it printed but i couldnt get the supports right so the bottom came out like crud

Yeah they require a little cleanup after printing for sure.

whatt did you print yours with? all i have is some pla and pla+, i do have a roll of abs but i dont know where its at atm
I printed mine with PLA. I should pull the monitor that's been in use for a year or two now and see how the guide has faired. I know that area will get warm, but PLA is stable up to about 60-70C. I'm not sure how warm it actually gets at the neck socket.

I just pulled the one from my police trainer that I printed about 2 years ago. It's held up fine. So I think PLA should be OK for it.

  1. Update, it's fixed! Went to grab the board to bring home with me to check some stuff out and figured while I was there I would check the HOT and found a broken trace/pad on the HOT and now it's working! I do plan to pull it some time and redo my jumpers a different way, but for now I am just glad it's fixed!
