I am at a loss how to describe this so I took a picture.

I just finished installing my first cap kit. The picture was horrible and blurry with washed out colors before the kit. After the cap kit the colors are bright and the focus is sharp, but the top inch or so is bent. I don't think it was like this before the kit, but the picture was so bad I might have not noticed it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adjusting h hold can make it worse but the picture I posted is as good as it gets.

QUOTE=modessitt;2013155]Adjust your Horiz Hold...[/QUOTE]

is your horizontal jumper set to the middle leg.

maybe the H-hold pot is dirty/broke.

is your synk hooked to pin 10.

Peace

Thanks for all the replies. So far I'm still stuck.

Horizontal jumper is in middle position.
Sync is on pin 9. Jumpering to 10 made no difference.
Adjusting the 50/60 pot did nothing at all.

The h hold does move as you would expect when adjusted (it just doesn't fix the problem). Could this pot still be faulty and cause this weird bend?

WOOHOO, it works. Bad Dudes never looked so good.

Switched the sync from pin 9 to pin 10 and the picture is GORGEOUS. Apparently whoever wired this cabinet for JAMMA (it was originally a Xenophobe) never hooked up the monitor correctly. Either they never noticed because the colors and focus were so bad or they just gave up and left it.

My first actual monitor repair (as opposed to just switching a bad monitor for a working one). I feel accomplished.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions, and especially to Buffett.
