Most are a typical CR23 pinout. (10 pin)
Which is in the K7000 manual if you look at the neckboard layouts. ;)
Wells Gardner seemed pretty good about labeling the actual neckboards too if you happen to have one around to look at.

Some are CR31's though. (8 pin)

Is it an 8-pin tube?

Pin 1 - G3, G4, G5 (normally from flyback for focus)
Key
Pin 3 - Blue K (KB)
Pin 4 - Heater
Pin 5 - Heater
Pin 6 - G1
Pin 7 - Red K (KR)
Pin 8 - G2
Pin 9 - Green K (KG)
Key

so on that table, ignore pin 1 on the socket (G3, G4, G5, focus) because the Heathkit doesn't use those at all.

the heater wires are interchangeable, so it doesn't matter which one on the socket goes to which heater wire on the connector.

G1 is Grid 1 and G2 is Grid 2, for reference.

no its a 10 pin. man i found a bad socket and i had to swap that around. then i was looking at it bass ackwards...DOH

i think im getting it. real close anyway.

dont want to fry my tubes.

no ground?

whats the orange wire from the heathkit for?

thanks for the help. almost there...

oh snap !

it all fell into place. getting kinda late here and i have 4 tubes to test. unknown if i will continue. so nice to have that hurdle over with anyway, now i can wake up and move on.

i noticed in the heathkit manual they said that after crimping the pins, to solder the wire to the pin. took like 2 minutes and i can now yank real hard on the wire and it didnt budge. cool stuff, never thought of that. i will now be doing that from now on !

thanks

here is an update:

this is for a CR 23 adapter. sorry the 3rd photo is blurry but you can still see what needs to be seen. the black/blue wires are interchangeable so they dont need to be marked ie. ground.

make sure you look closely at the photos. ive marked the white and yellow wires correctly with a black line for proper installation. also tested and works too ! hope this helps. if i make any other adapters i will update...
