Fellow klover wickedbass asked me a damn good question...

He has a pc 10? i think and hes trying to use a k7000 monitor with it.

From what i remember reading awhile back to use anything besides an original sanyo monitor required some modification to the new monitor.. like doing something to the three bipolar caps near the sync pins or something to that effect.

Anybody know what would have to be done? WOuld love to figure this out and add it to the sticky.

Some Nintendos shipped with a K7000 so it may be original. If it is not, he could use Mikesarcade Color Inverter and sound amp board as he would need an additional sound amp as well to run Nintendo boards.

The k7000 that came standard was most likely manufactured by Zenith and used a non-standard flyback. If it's toast then its time for a new chassis or sourcing a parts flyback etc. It is pretty documented around here. The configuration had a separate sound amp already so you just need the chassis.

Hey guys thanks for the input.

My pc 10 does have a factory k7000.

I did purchase a bob Roberts deluxe kit with flyback(fit no problem) and did a cap kit and hot.

I'm getting this

I read that it could be the 50/60 pot so I messed with that first. I also replaced it with one from another chassis.
When the game starts I get this which looks more like the 50/60 pot.

So I said maybe I missed a cap or something and decided to recap again. Same result.

Any suggestions?

first pis was just a H-Hold adjustment there was no need to cap again.

second pic is a 50/60htz adjustment.

Peace

Maybe the pot is bad. I've tried adjusting it.
Thanks I'll mess with it some more. I really hope it's just me and need to adjust it better.

Which pot did you adjust, I guarantee it is the h hold pot? You'll have to fine the sweet spot that allows the menu screen and the game screen to look correct.

Honestly I was messing with both.
I think I need a buddy over to watch or put the monitor on the bench. Using a mirror sucks.

I love my wife, however she is useless when it comes to giving feedback on monitor adjusting :)

Now that you adjusted the 50/60 pot you may have to screw with it a bit again. I literally had the same exact screen, except it went down to only Game 1, Tuesday when I was testing a newly capped chassis in my Red Tent. Adjusted the H Hold Pot a hair and it is all good.

Thanks I will. I will post my results.
