I'm working with a K7000 chassis and every time I turn around this chassis is missing another part! Ha ha

I've been stealing parts from another chassis and I do have it 100% working now but…

I need a replacement C31:

.010uf 10% 50V P-Estr

The reason that I'm posting is: I feel like I am so bad with Digikey and mouser

When you need one of these chicklet type caps, what capacitor category should I be looking under?

Thanks in advance.

As @Jamesv833 said, it is a polyester film capacitor. These are also referred to as Greencaps. Usually just a general purpose, low voltage, low-cost capacitor.

They were quite common back in the days of these chassis but tend not to be so common these days.

In case more modern terms help, they are in the class of Film Capacitors, material is PET and their metricated value is 10nF, body type is radial, through hole.

I did not have any luck on a quick search of Mouser and Digikey. My local (not to you) electronics store carries them (100V rating) still at a reasonable price. Here is a link in case the information helps. The prices are in A$ dollars so it's much cheaper in US$. You may have a smaller electronics store than Digikey or Mouser that still sells them.

Not a bad idea - it's kind of overkill but for 10 bucks I got like a 400 piece kit on Amazon, which had 15 of the caps that I need and I'm sure there will be others that I will need in the future

How do people feel about replacing some of these poly film caps with ceramic? My understanding is that they are able to make ceramic caps in values today that they weren't able to manufacture 30 years ago, and they've replaced other cap types for certain values. They do have slightly different electrical properties, but I'm not sure if that matters.
