Awhile back I had an issue with this monitor that ended up being cold solder joints on the header pins. See this thread:
http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=98591

Anyways, all fixed... until now. I have the same monitor now going into a multi cab I am building for my father. Had actually hoped to give it to him this Wednesday as his birthday is that day. Well, today I was giving it it's final test run and just letting it stay powered on for awhile to make sure all worked well. It ended up going blue again. And not just a tint of blue this time... it was full on blue and I could barely make out anything behind the blue. Pulled the monitor out to look over the chassis and it looks good. I didn't see any other solder joints that might be issues. So from some of the recommendations I was reading about swapping output transistors and whatnot... what exactly is this referring to? I fear it will take a rejuvenator on the tube to get this one right which might be awhile before I am around anyone who has one.

It's late and I need to go to bed. Just frustrated with this damn monitor. I'll probably have to swap in another monitor to give the game to him and just be 1 game down in my gameroom for the time being. I really hope I can fix this as I have put too much time and money into it already and I'd rather not have to buy another monitor.

On the neck board, there should be 3 large-ish transistors... I believe blue is Q203. Pull that transistor, and if the screen is still blue, the tube is likely the problem. If blue goes away, then replace that transistor, or swap w/ another and see if the problem moves w/ the transistor.

Fantastic. Will try that tonight. I was beyond tired and really frustrated when I made the post lastnight. If this monitor decides to be a pain I will just swap in another monitor for my father's game and keep this one as my own to try and fix. I guess I can deal with being one game down for the time being... it just sucks when you get so used to having all of your games running fine then you need sacrifice one when something like this goes wrong.

Putting the tube on a rejuvenator will tell you if the tubes a problem and might be able to be fixed.

Yeah... problem is the closest rejuvenator to me, that I know if, is Chris25801's which he has offered to let me use the next time I'm out his way... but I don't get to the Twin Cities that often. It's about an hour and a half away from me. I guess I should just eventually pick one up myself because this is the 3rd monitor I've had that could use one for testing/fixing.
