Can anyone tell me a way to identify which size monitor a flyback matches? I have a new spare that I bought a while back but it is just labeled K7000 flyback. Do the 25" and 27" K7000's use the same flybacks?

Thanks
Rich

The K7000 comes in 9", 13", 19", and 25" sizes. That flyback is universal for them all with the exception of the K7000A. The K7000A (19" and 25" sizes) has a unique flyback that is not currently being reproduced.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but how do you know if it's a 7000a chassis or not. When there are no visible labels on it.

Thanks

The K7000A flyback looks very different. The flyback is more cylindrical and always has a booster pack on it. A search of these forums for K7000A should helpo you find a picture of one. Once you see the flyback on one of these you'll recognize it every time.

I would do the search for you but the network I am on blocks pics so my search would be a shot in the dark.

That's a clue as well.
The Zenith made chassis is generally the tan/brownish looking main chassis with no identifiable screen printing marks on it. (like P447 or P538)
The flyback is always an olive drab army green looking color.

Not the greatest pic, but came across this one......
