I have a k7000 in my T2 cabinet It's always had this magnetized issue in the corner I finally pulled it apart made all the adjustments and degaussed it It looked much better (90%)

Then I put it back together and magically it's back.

I think I read somewhere that the mounting of T2 causes this due to strain on the neck.

Any suggestions on root cause?

Did you degauss with the monitor mounted inside the machine? Thats where I would start. Also confirm your speakers are shielded. I have had games with the speakers changed and they were cheapy unshielded units that caused similar symptoms. Also see if changing the orientation of the cabinet makes it go away or change. If so that is normal.

that tells me it was a monitor swap. the purity rings were set for the monitor to be run in normal orientation, not facing upward like in T2. (this is also a problem if you repurpose a horizontal monitor for a vertical game) we have a Lethal Enforcers at work that went through multiple K7000s just like the T2 and I put together a U2000 for it. find out after the fact it doesn't have rings, it self converges. lol so I took an old speaker and stuck it to the metal coin vault, it's about 98% of where it needs to be. the casual onlooker won't even notice.
