Here is a pic of the yoke, after read a bunch of posts i guess this could also be the yoke?
Nothing seems to be lose or crooked...not sure

Any help is much appreciated.

Well, I've been screwing around with a tube swap for a few hours this afternoon, and I'd get that sort of image when I moved the yoke too close or too far from the tube. I really have no clue if that's the problem you're having, especially since you haven't moved the yoke or convergence rings...I'm just saying you can get that when the yoke is moved. What was wrong with it in the first place?

Awesome sounds like i have a new uncharted challenge ahead of me :)

it was DOA when i got it....pulled it out of a warehouse years ago and decided today i was going to get it going. ive never seen it working..till now anyway.

i may be calling you this week for tips

Haha! Yeah, since Pete's on vacation ;) I picked up a tube by the side of the road a month ago. It didn't match anything on "the list" so it wasn't a drop in. I even swapped the yoke, but couldn't get it to converge. I broke it back out today after making some convergence strips and still couldn't get it dialed in...that was with a G07 chassis. Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can get a WG4900 to work. It probably won't, but both chassis were attached to pretty burned tubes, so it's no big loss if I mess around with it.

physically moving the whole monitor should make the image look better, but try using a degaussing coil, (never used a wand) and see if you don't get a better result. Only rotate the coil in one direction as you progress away from the face of the tube, then as you get the picture the way you like it, turn the degaussing coil perpindicular to the tube and turn it off.

also consider that the frame may have been magnetized sometime in its life.
sitting in that warehouse for so ling you never know what was next to it. or if it had been dropped sometime in its life and the shadow mask is off inside the tube.

Peace

i called it a want but i used my degaussing ring i guess. i will try your suggested method and see if it helps.

it very well could have been dropped however id like to rule everything else out before i toss it. i checked the frame, no magnets i have stick to it.

Thanks for the replys.
