I am absolutely lost and really need a hand. First I have a Wells Gardner chassis that has this tag on it: WGR2570-U1GS30K. That is considered to be a k7000, correct? Secondly I am trying to put this in place of a pentranic POS chassis that I can not get to work. The tube is a Pentranic A63PNT14X, these two are compatible, correct? Lastly if they are compatible I have 5 wires going from the game to the chassis; red, green, blue, white, and black. What pins do these get plugged into on the k7000. Thanks for the help ahead of time, I really suck when it comes to monitors.

1) That sounds like a K7000 monitor, but a picture would be easier to identify.

2) While the tube is probably compatible, the yoke might not be, and you could damage your K7000 chassis by connecting it to an improper yoke. You may even find that certain wires connecting to the K7000 may not be present on the other tube, or may have different connectors.

3) Those wire colors can connect to the K7000, but not in the way that they connected to the Pentranic. The five colors you mentioned are
  • Red - Video Red Input
  • Green - Video Green Input
  • Blue - Video Blue Input
  • Black - Video Ground
  • White - Composite Sync

Unless you have one of the weird cabinets where they actually made white ground and black sync, that should be correct. Depending one what game you connect to the K7000 will depend on how you connect the wires to the video input connector, but for a JAMMA or other negative composite sync game, it connects like this:
  • Pin 1 - Red
  • Pin 2 - Green
  • Pin 3 - Blue
  • Pin 4 - Black
  • Pin 5 - Empty
  • Pin 6 - Empty
  • Pin 7 - Key
  • Pin 8 - Empty
  • Pin 9 - Empty
  • Pin 10 - White

Ok thanks for the help so far.

1.) Picture is attached of said monitor chassis.

2.) I honestly don't know if this chassis is/was working properly. This game has been nothing but a PITA for me. Its my next door neighbors game that he found on the curb by his work. He is a really good guy and will shovel my driveway during the winter if I am away for work so my wife doesn't have to, and other really good neighborly things. Otherwise I would have told him to figure it out on his own.

3.) That seems to work, I am getting a picture but now its like a double mirror. I have taken a picture of the attract mode to show you what I am talking about. I checked in the games settings and don't see an option to change settings such as mirroring. I have hooked up a good 27" WG to the game to make sure I don't have a board issue or something else and that works perfectly fine. So does that sound like something the chassis could control.

Thanks again and sorry for the noobness.

So - upside down and backwards? What is that - Golden Tee? I can't recall if Golden Tee has a dip switch to flip the screen. If not, you'll have to change the yoke connector...

Yes that is a golden tee. Like I said I hooked up one of my know good 27" WG to the game to test for any other issues while I have been trouble shooting the old pentranic and now this chassis. The 27" worked perfectly fine so I doubt it's a dip switch setting.
Is there a good source to read up on switching the yoke connector, as I have no idea what to do there.

Regardless of whether it works with other monitor, if you flip THIS monitor's image via dip switch, that's quicker and easier than doing the yoke connector change...

I just wanted to thank both modessitt and mrbill2084 with helping me out on this chassis. I ended up just cutting the yoke wire and that worked perfectly. I was able to deliver the game over to my neighbors yesterday and check another protect off my list. All I have to say is I still hate monitors but it was pretty cool learning to converge the monitor as well as play with the yoke wiring.
