Hey guys, i got a 25 inch k7000 last week for my dynamo cab that . It was obvious that flyback was bad. Monitor worked prior to flyback just the colors were overdriven. I replaced the bad flyback and the pots at the remote board because one of those was bad. The colors are still way overdriven. i turned them all down on the neckboard and they get better but are still bleeding. It seems the pots are working because if i adjust they get real bad but turning them down does not get rid of the bleed. Any ideas ? cap kit ?

I did, no go . All adjustments make a difference just not enough

You probably already tried this, but how about the secondary brightness adjustment pot (not the flyback brightness control, but the one that's actually right next to contrast).

Edge Connector?

I know this is simple, but I had a K7000 like this in a T2 that was doing the same thing. It was the green mainly that was bleeding.

Anyway, I did the caps and flyback and still had the color bleed. I also had a replacement neck board from a parts chassis, and still the bleeding. I was thinking degauss? So I borrowed a coil and degaussed it. Still the same.

I was messing with the coin mechs and had to reseat the edge connector and looked up at the game and WHOA! Nice picture!

Try cleaning your edge connector. You never know, and sometimes it's the simple things that fix it. I tend to over-rationalize sometimes.

You know what, that actually sounds like a good idea, ill give a try tomorrow.

if this has a remote board make sure all the pots are ok sometimes they get hairline cracks and not easy to see, also make sure the connection is good at the cable to the board as simetimes that also gets kraptastic.

i replaced all the pots on the remote board when i did flyback

Not silly at all, but color bleed was there before flyback and pot change and was same afterward, plus i followed bob roberts map when i installed them. Gonna go home tonight and reinstall and clean the board connector liek someone suggested. ill post the result.

Sorry for the delay, another game came up and this got pushed back, cleaned the connectors and ohm out wires Still the same, ughhhhh..........

Update=== I think i know what is wrong, just have to learn how to fix. After i had the chassis out one more time to recheck EVERYTHING, i noticed when i was putting it back in that the glue or lack ther of on the purity rings was hanging off, because one of the adjustments was moving freely when i was putting the chassis back in. fooled around a little with the rings and the image got worse as far as the bleed goes but got white to work So ill have to learn how to converge.
