Ok, so here is another dead monitor I picked up.
When first firing it up I saw electricity coming out of the flyback and immediately turned it off. Always an adventure when you get non working, not marked monitors
. Anyway, I replaced the flyback and got picture, but with this weird distortion at the top. I then did a full cap kit and the problem is the same.
I checked the bottom of the pcb and looked in the normal k7000 trouble areas and besides one bad solder that was on one of the caps I replaced, everything else looked good.
Fired it back up and I have the same problem. It takes a lot of pot adjustment to even get this screen, otherwise it almost looks out of sync.
