I'm trying to find a manual for a K5501 and having very little luck. I know through the forums that they are very similar to the 4900 series and have downloaded some 4900 manuals but the location designations are difficult to read.

ultimately I'm looking to find out the location and values of the vertical transistors as the monitor I will be working on has vertical collapse. I wont be able to look at the deflection board until later today but wanted to get the components if possible up front at a local distributor

Any help would be appreciated

thanks,

There are several manuals on Xmission for the 4900, 4901, 4915, & 5515. I think they all used the same transistors, but can't recall off the top of my head. I have a 5501 here I can look at later tonight if you still need it, but you'll have to remind me...

thanks modessitt... I finally picked the chassis up (was going to try to fix it onsite but would have needed to pick up the part prior to getting there). The 2 vert output transistors in question were 2SC2073s. I figure between the transistors, a capkit, and reflowing solder in the vert area, I should be able to correct the vertical collapse. If there's something else I should be looking at, any additional info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
