I have this k4900 tube with an eygo chassis attached.
The colors aren't as good as they could be, so I hooked up a k4900 I have capped and sitting around.

I have tested it before with no issues.

When I hook it up to the spy hunter, the pic is upside down.

The wires that go to the monitor from the boards are all in the 5 or 6 pin molex connector that attaches to the chassis. Could this be the cause of the upside down pic? Not having 2 of the wires in the 3 pin molex? I ask because I thought I saw spy hunter sync somewhere, maybe on bob's site.

Or do I simply need to swap some yoke wires? (oh yeah which ones?)
thanks

Nothing to do with the sync wires, swap the yoke wiring.

thanks, I should be able to look up how to do it with the k4900.
The thing about this monitor is, it's a vertical mounted monitor that was always used as a horizontal monitor, so I probably would not have noticed anything odd prior to this testing.

You need to swap the positions of the red and blue yoke wires. Then swap the positions of the green and yellow yoke wires. if your connector is whole, cut it between the blue and green, then rotate each half...

or if it has quick disconnects up on the yoke I can just swap them there huh?

was spyhunter working before the change? (full audio). I think if the top board is not connected, the screen will flip. if you have no game audio, that might be your problem. So it could be a bad ribbon cable.

4900 is not like the 4600 with quick disconnects. 4900 is soldered to the yoke.

100% working
and still 100% working, sounds are perfect game play is perfect. I mean I don't have to put this monitor in.
I have another vertical mount monitor that I just rebuilt (g07) I can try it today.

If you're going to go to all the trouble to pull it out and put a G07 in, just pull the 4900 out, rotate it 180 degrees, and put it back in...
