ok... so im downstairs and i happen to have this k4900 tube and chassis with a broken neck board, and i have tried repairing it to no avail now i have no choice but to find a new used chassis or attemp to swap an electrohome chassis and yoke on to it, is this possable to do? can you use a wells RCA tube with an electrohome chassis so as long as you change the yoke?

I would be interested in the 4900 chassis and yoke if you go tis route. But seriously, this is THE easiest monitor to tube swap for an TV picture tube. 1 out of every 2 older 19" TVs will fit this monitor.

one last question, my go7 has been redone with a new flyback, caps and a width coil, but its missing xsistor 701, will it come on without it? im confused???

It will, but your chassis will be susceptible to more damage in the future with it being gone. It is part of the HV shutdown circuit, and removed it would not shut the chassis down should a shorted part cause the B+ to shoot up. This would probably cause more parts to fail pretty quickly....
