So I finished up a cap kit on a 4900 and cleaned\rejuved the tube. Normally when I'm done with the cap and rejuv I'm in awe of how good the picture looks.

On this one (my first 4900) it's nice and crisp but..it almost looks like it could use some more 'contrast.' I don't see any adjustment for this.

I did turn up the color guns on the neck board..just enough till the backround change...then back it off. I messed with the brightness and black levels quite a bit

Are the Sanyo and G07 just more 'colorful' than the 4900 or should I be looking for something?

Don't get me wrong..the monitor does look good. Just not as vibrant when sitting next to the G07 or Sanyo.

Can ya tell I'm a little OCD about my monitors? =)

Suggestions?

I assume by "brightness and black levels" you are referring to the screen pot on the flyback and the right pot of the two behind the others?

4900's can be just as bright as others, although they seem to need rejuvenation more, even though they use the same tube as G07's and 4600's, so it may be the tube...
