My WOW from time to time gives a brief flash of blue over the entire screen. Any ideas what would cause this? Would it be the blue pot going bad? Thanks!

blue pot, OR, maybe cold solder on the reds and greens. I'd reflow solder on all the transistors, their inline resistors, and all the pots. see if this fixes it.

Hard to tell without seeing it.....but when I have a 4600 flashing (monitor looks like it blinks off and on really fast) it is typically the film cap located at C621 on the main PCB chassis....here is a quick pic.....

tube

its possible your drive transistor is breaking down and needs to be replaced or you can switch the blue drive transistor and the red lets say and see if the red gun starts to flash then you know its the transistor. Otherwise, i believe it is your tube and your blue gun is in menopause and having hot flashes and might need to rejuve it which does not always work or even help.

Does it have retrace lines when it goes blue, or is it just blue tinted? If it's just everything is blue without being wayyyy overdriven with retrace lines, it's probably a pot or the transistor.

if it has lines in the blue, then it's probably the tube having hot flashes like said above. Usually when they're on the blink like that you can save 'em with a rejuvenator.
