Hey guys,
I have a Wells K4600 that I did a cap kit on. After I did the kit and put everything back together I now get no picture at all.
I'm following the Randy Fromm flow chart and it has me checking the TR501 transistor's "blue" lead.
Which I did and got nothing...assuming I checked it correctly (Red MM lead to the Blue lead on the TR 501 and the Black MM lead to the metal chassis)

My question is where can I get a 2SC1415 (the TR501) and a 2SC1740Q (The TR502)
I check BR and he has the 2SC1415 but not the other...and I would prefer NOT to pay his minimum shipping charge just for these 2 tiny items.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'd appreciate it.
Thanks, ERIC

Did it have a picture before you did the kit?

When you did the kit, did you replace the "black level" pot? If so, did you adjust it?

It is a "Best Practice" to center the black level pot prior to installation, so that you don't end up with a black screen when you are done with your cap kit.

No, the kit didn't come with the "Black level pot".

I got it from Syracuse Semiconductors on eBay.

Did you try adjusting your current black and brightness pots? Usually after a cap kit install you need to dial it in again.

Also, did you reflow all the solder joints to the male and female terminals on all the baords?

If not, its possible a cracked solder joint got worse on you from working on your boards.
