k4600 mounting woes... horizontal width coil question
Picked up a Mr. Do's Castle cab today with a nice k4675. I'm trying to switch it into my Pacman, which has a 4600 series monitor in it too, but the mounting hardware is completely different. I have the mounting frame switched over from the old monitor to the new, but mounting the chassis is driving me bananas because of the way the 4600's hw coils are mounted to the frame hardware.
So my question is, can I just desolder the hw coils from each of the 4600's and switch them out, or will this just cause a load of new woes? My original 4600's width coil is mounted on a flat piece of metal, and the one I got today is mounted on more of a box-top piece of metal... I need the flat one! Are the width coils from 4600 to 4600 completely interchangeable?
Thanks!
