just recapped a 4600 in a pacman but i am having alittle trouble getting the colors right.the knob in thr flybck is the focus i assume but it does nothing. the ghost are slightly the wrong color and the board has green on it in sections. also what is the differnce between the main brightness pot and the brightness pot on the daughter board? there is really bad screen burn on this monitor, would this be a contribing factor to thr colors?

Maybe, let's see a pic. Color adjustments are on the neckboard. Did you replace the screen pot on the daughterboard when you recapped it?

i cant get inky to turn his light green he stays blue..cant get pacman to turn yellow he stays kinda orange. i have been messin wit the the red blue and green and the drives for hours but cant get the colors i want. hooked up two 4900s and they looked fine

Well, first - the tube may need to be rejuved.

second, There are some board issues that cause some of the characters and pac to be the wrong color, but I'm not sure from your pic whether that is the case here....

colors look perfect when i hooked up a 4900 to the pac.i quess i will have to find someone to rejuv the tube. thanks mod.

Looks like several problems.

Convergence is out. Did you accidently play with or bump the convergence rings on the tube neck?

Screen control on neckboard should be set at around the 10 o'clock position.

Black level pot on the video interface face may need adjustment.

Try setting all the color adjustment pots on the neckboard to the halfway mark.

Now see what the picture looks like.

The "SCREEN" control is considered a coarse brightness control.

The "Black Level" control is considered the fine brightness control.

didnt mess with the convergence, just got the pac yesterday and and happened to have a cap kit for a 4600. i will try those adjustments and check back. last resort will be trying to adjust convergance or rejuve.

pulled the monitor and put a 4900 in the pac. i can mess with the 4600 outside the cab with bobs rgb extension cables.
