I got a chassis with bad focus and a burned tube. Right now however I have a client with a dead chassis and a decent tube.....so I figure a drop in would make things easier and I can toy around with the dead chassis later. Now assuming the focus pot on the other dead chassis right now is not in a spot where I can't retrieve it and maybe it could be bad as well......Does anyone possibly have a spare focus pot replacement for that odd non-reproduced flyback?

I don't think it's the neck board or anything on this working chassis. Doesn't seem like the focus pin is shorted but I could be wrong.....just everything is blobbish and the focus pot has no effect. The Ceramic Disc Cap on the neck board that handles focus seems newer.......maybe the tube is bad....but I don't any ID # on the tube

Are the 4600s tubes a CR-31 adapter? I knows that is the one adapter I still need for my 470.

4600's use a CR-23 adapter. If you have two 4600 chassis, swap the focus pot from one chassis to the other...

Ya I was thinking that, I'd just would have to work at his place which is a little more annoying considering it's in his un-air conditioned garage lol.

Just throwing it out there.

It takes maybe 5-minutes (less for the experienced) to swap the pot. It's like a screw or nut, then two wires that need to be unsoldered and resoldered...
