everything is blue. no matter what knobs i turn for colors its all blue. it was this way before i capped it (bob roberts kit) so i got the black level. i can unplug the game input and everything is still blue. when i turn the pot for blue it almost acts like a brightness knob i have a few other chassis to try on it but just wanted the question to get out there while i am swapping things out.

now that i think about it.... i think the tube arched a few times... from the part the neck board plugs in to the front of the screen... it did that before i ever capped it. and it only did that a few times. and now it hasn't done it since. but it was only displaying blue when it did this.

You probably have a problem with the tube as you suspect. Time to find someone somewhat local that has a crt tester/rejuvenator to see if it's fixable.

You can always try putting the tube face down on a soft towel and gently, read that again, gently tapping the neck with something rubber or soft plastic. If it works, great, if not you only wasted 10-15 minutes. ;)

i have 4 chassis.... three of them do the same thing .. all blue. one i can't use because the neck board is broke. iwas up until 3:30 in the morning messing with..... so what will tapping the tube do???

Tapping the neck of the tube, right in front of the neckboard "can" in some cases knock loose dirt or debris that could be causing your gun issue. It is a long shot, I've yet to have it work, but could be worth a try.

another question. it is blue all the time when game input pluged into it our not.. could it be one of the 2 vertical atachement boards causeing it to turn blue?

well i spent money i shouldn't have and bought me a B&K 470 on ebay.... :) well i guess now all i have to do is wait for it to show up.

are you sure the sync and color inputs are hooked up right?

i can unplug the game from the monitor and its still blue. and the plug coming from the neck board will only plug in one way... i cleaned the pins on the board and the sockets on the cards.. to make sure they are getting a good connnection.

it is a k4613 monitor to be exact.

those jumper just fine tune the pic as to how its centered
you do have the cards right your pic shows them out
the inputs are labled but you should try diff combos of the sync
like negitive xy then positive xy
