k-7000 monitor frame 19 inch

The mount is important, otherwise the monitor won't fit properly in the game. If you try to put a horizontal mount into a vertical mount cab, or vice versa, you run the risk of not being able to close the back door properly.

The universal mounts are nice, but they don't always work either, depending on how the cab's monitor opening has been cut.

That's why I asked :)

I have 6 tubes ready to go into various cabs. they range from vertical to horizontal mounts so I would be happy with either.

OIC - you're THAT far down the road already.

A few months back I remember having a discussion with someone about having frames like this made - I mean really, you can get a TV tube for nothing, and provided you can get your hands on a compatible yoke, you can buy a replacement chassis from Alva amusements for $75 and you're up and running in a mint, burn-free monitor for your cab. You just need a frame.

This is one of those projects that really wouldn't be that hard to do for a metal guy, just plasma cut the 3 pieces needed, a few bends and holes tapped and you're good to go. You could just mount the PCB with plastic standoffs instead of using the little plastic strip.

Maybe we could petition Takeman to think about a project like this?

yes, I have found these tubes for close to nothing. these tubes are 2000 to 2006 and great looking. tested them all on my rejuvinator and most go close to maxing out the gauges. the yokes on all of these are perfect for the k-7000 which I tested all of them on.

I've probably got a couple. I'll try to remember to look, when I get in the shop today. Remind me in a day or so if I forget.
