Hello, which is better? The software looks similar. Do JVLs break easier? Is there more support for Megatouch?

Thanks for any info,
PS

I don't know, I thought it was the other way around.

Anyone know?

The Merit Megatouch games tend to be more popular as most people (myself included) recall those in bars/pubs the most -- at least around here. I've spoken with some collectors that say the JVL units are better built and easier to keep running, although I've never had problems with both Megatouch machines I have (Force Radion and Ion EVO.) I think it all boils down to your preference. From what I've seen both JVL and Megatouch have identical games. I personally decided to go with Megatouch because that's what my friends and I played in the bars and have memories of.

JVL's don't take 3 minutes to boot.

I only have decent hardware experience with Megatouch Maxx, not the other platforms. I have two of them, Ruby and Jade (I know they are somewhat old now) but I like them both quite a bit. They have a lot of common games but each has some the other doesn't have. I also have a Megatouch 6 which is nearly 20 years old. It pretty much sucks. I keep it around because its monitor is RGB and works nicely with my test rig. Megatouch games are still fun to play and I happily pay to play whenever I find one on location. Yes. Merit is toast. Sucks but they had a hell of a good run.
