He needs a consultant standing next to him while he's building these things.
"Okay - good job on that control panel. Mount that monitor...fine. Set the controls...look good? Feel good? Now...wait...STOP! STOP STOP STOP! NO! *whack with newspaper* That's a fifty cent sticker on something you're trying to get $600 for. Okay, keep going...wait...STOP! STOP STOP STOP! NO! *whack with newspaper* We don't cut down a regular-sized marquee just for the sake of fitting it on a bartop. Right? Okay, keep going...wait...WHAT DID I JUST SAY ABOUT THE STICKERS? *whack with newspaper*"
It's definitely regular Bud ROM's, one of them has a screenhshot from the 2nd set of boards, and you can see the Bud logo on the balloon. Now, he says it's licensed. How did he get a license? I don't know of any official release that has Bud Tapper, and I doubt he has an original boardset in there... (would it even fit?)
I was thinking it was just Mame inside. If it has the original pcb then I think the price is okay. Otherwise, not so much. Like others have said, A for effort.
Better than I could do, to be honest, though I haven't tried to make my own cabinet (yet).
If this only plays Tapper, what's the extra white button for? And why do some photos have the extra stickers (including on the control panel), and some don't?
It says licensed software purchased, so this is not an original Tapper PCB. Also, that can't be an original marquee (they were glass).
