Just scored a $66 Roy Clark cocktail pin

i've never seen a cocktail pinball....that's pretty cool.

(and yeah, i hate country music as well)

That's not nice Dean! Some people actually like to play those. :) I played mine 2 or 3 times before I sold it, but the new owner plays it for hours every day. He is planning to strip the playfield and make a custom theme though.

Wow - I was thinking I might do that too. Not sure what theme - maybe Star Wars, or Star Trek, or Futurama, or Space Invaders or something. No idea how diffficult that might be to do though. :)

how would you even go about doing that?

I thought about doing it when I had it, but lack of any artistic talent stopped the project pretty quick. You could sand the playfield to get rid of the RR paint, then paint your own. Clearcoat when your done, and it might even speed up the gameplay a little. :)

Yeah - my sister is a talented graphic artist so she could handle that for me if/when i decide on a theme.

ok, I picked it up today. I blogged about it here;
http://www.thebrokenjoystick.com/arcade/roy-clark-the-entertainer-cocktail-pinball/
but the gist is...

"So, for $66, 240 miles and 4.5 hours of driving, it's mine now. It works 95% and is in pretty good shape. The left flipper is weak, it needs a new set of rubbers all around, needs new flipper buttons (faded), it doesn't' keep score (always says 0), and the far right drop target is always down. I'm VERY happy with it."

here's a quick pic I took with it lit up:

I couldn't see myself having much fun with a pin that small, thats just me though.

I just picked 2 of those and 4 "Flame of Athens" pins today...price was awesome !!! Downside is the mouse pee smell...but seem complete and decent shape.

Theres nothing country on that pinball. Like someone mentioned Roy looks like Elto John. It actually looks fun. Report back on gameplay and your thoughts..

Actually,I was wrong...I got 4 "Eros One" pins and 2 Roy Clark ones...I've been playing Eros One all week...it's actually quite fun !!! Just needs rubbers tho...
