Just received a rarity- Ghosts and Goblins Prototype PCB

If this would be appreciated anywhere, it would be here.

I ended up with this from a 'charity raffle' held for an arcade friend of mine. I guess it was my lucky day. I cannot even begin to explain its whole history as well as the original owner (and ex-employee of Romstar) so I am sending him the link to this thread so he can explain it better than me. I know the roms have been dumped already, and i really wanted to share it with all of you guys!

But here are lots of pictures!

Thanks, Chris. This was the main board I had put up for auction to pay for cancer medications.

A cool friend Vanilla thunder recommended going for a raffle and raised quite a bit.

am super glad Chris won.

Basically, when a company would send out a board to test, there would be prototype changes and the board is entirely potted to prevent security leaks. This is the very first motherboard we tested out Ghosts & Goblins by.

MAME is having fun wince the graphics are arranged differently in there.

Again, congrats, man!

So sweet. Play the heck out of it and break down the differences!

i dont have the right harnesses handy (of course).

supposedly the big difference is that it ends after stage 3 :D

At least than I'll be able to beat it... haha.. I have a rough time getting past stage 3 / 4 Which ever the bridge is on?, I think a dragon appears and it's usually curtains for me. Congrats on the score!

A pic of my dedicated cab taken from my blog from around last year.. http://www.guscade.blogspot.com/2011/10/capcom-taitos-ghosts-n-goblins-1985.html :

I would like to update my blog post with more pictures, this cabinet / game deserves more photos!

I kinda want one of those romstar boxes...lol every kit ive had to pretty much piece together. I've seen a ton of Nintendo Playchoice kits with the cases / foam, I'd love to see an unboxing of a romstar kit.
