Just QR coded all of our arcade games at Rusty Quarters.

Just made these cool QR/2D code boxes for the games at the arcade. If a customer wants to to know the history of a certain game, they can use a QR app on their smartphone, scan it, and read all about their favorite game.

I made them 2 inches tall, mounted them on white card stock (comic book backboard), and laminated them. Put them in the right corner of the games marquee.

I saw you mention this on FB. Cool idea.

I just made some for all of the games in my arcade! Cool idea, indeed...

Looks like yours is supposed to point to your Facebook page? When I load it on my phone it just takes me to my Facebook news feed. Might want to try it on a few different devices/accounts.

This is definitely a really cool idea. Especially for an arcade. I don't think it would work well in my home arcade since most of my machines switch between many different games.

I know, I just wanted to post a code-thingy so people could test it, and.. you know, like... go to facebook. Yeah.

Oh! And since you mentioned it, here's one that I probably should've posted instead...

Ive never liked QR codes until now. This is an awesome idea, and Ill be doing this too. TOO cool!

If anyone wants the pdf. of the blank history box, let me know. it's already to scale with rendered codes from http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ . All you would have to do is get a custom code, pull the image to your desktop, then open the new qr code image and the history box image with photoshop. Copy/paste qr code to the history box, resize (to your dimensions. Mine are 2in high), print and BAMM! you have QR code boxes for your machines.

...and you have already done more with QR codes than Stern Pinball ever did in a couple years. I remember they hyped those so much with the release of Transformers and then did nothing with them. Same thing with every release since. Fun idea.

Lets take this a step further. How about some being redirected to blkdog7, youtube videos if the game is one he has done a review on? He produces excellent history videos pertaining to the games in his collection.
