just picked up a red Donkey Kong today--have had several blue ones but this is my first red one--works but need a cap done on monitor--needs new art and t molding--took some pictures--does the serial # 2815 mean it was the 2815th made?

I'm nor sure how the serial #'s work. I know camaromurph has better info. There are TKG2, TKG3 and TKG4 donkey kongs. I think TKG2 were converted before they left the factory, I don't remember what the TKG3's were...... - Barry

Every time I see a red DK I wonder why they ever changed it to baby blue. Red looks so much better. Also, it looks like the DK artwork was designed with a red cabinet in mind.

If that's an original Red DK, then I'd leave the artwork alone, it's not that bad. Maybe replace the t-molding but keep it as OG as possible.

Ringgold, GA.... ha... I think I've been out to your place, is that you Scott?

Nice pick up. Looks really original. It would be great to get some close ups of the marquee and control panel. Also some pictures of the inside of the game to see what might be original inside.

TKG3's are the first dedicated DK's built at the factory. SN 02815 is a very late red game. They had already started the transition to blue at this point.
