Just picked up my first color vector, Space Duel !!!

Just picked up my first color vector game today. Space Duel kicks ass! Never really played it before, so far I love it. Like Asteroids on steroids. The cab is in good shape with no major damage, side art looks good (a few scuffs). Not sure what is going on with the control panel (has a few rivets around both of the players shield buttons). I love vectors and knew I would love color vectors, but damn, I am hooked!

Nice pickup. My first color vector was an SD as well. Those rivets do look funky. :)

Need to pop the panel and take a look.

Pulled the panel and found that the rivets are just there. They are not holding anything. The way they are spaced is almost like some had installed joysticks and then pulled them out later. Weird!

Maybe it was converted to Black Widow at some point then switched back. If not the whole game then maybe just the CP.

I am thinking about getting one of these. Is this a good single player game too?

BTW - nice score!

The bolts just give you more of a reason to replace the cpo. I love the atari vectors.

That is what I thought when I saw the rivets. Wondered if the wiring of the CP might show signs of of a 'conversion' as well.

Congrats on the find. My first color vector was SD as well. Yours is in far better shape even with the CP issues. It took quite a bit of work to rebuild her but it was worth it (to me anyways...)

Some people have used hacked-up SD CPs for a multi-vector platform so you might want to consider that option.
