So I just picked up a "broken" Special Force for a great price. Got it working, and the gameplay is not too bad. I would like to replace the Generic Bally Midway side art. Anyone know where to pick that up, can't seem to find it.
Thanks,

they aren't that bad to play. I've had one for several years.. I have a few parts too if you need anything.

I feel like I got a great deal. I almost feel guilty for the price I paid. All that lit up when I bought it was the lower pf GI lights. The MPU only flashed twice. Once I got it home I plugged it in and it worked right away. So the only thing it really needs is new connectors. What would you say the value of this pin is?

Do you happen to have the flipper solenoid shaft's. The part on the shaft that the little roller rides on is worn and now the flipper has too much slop. If not, where can I pick one up.

Mine was is pretty good condition, full tear down and clean of playfield & plastics, new rubber ring kit, re-flowed all connectors on all boards, cab was good, backglass was great. Had a slow time of selling it, but sold for $850 finally. You can get around that price give or take, but you'll be sitting on it for a while. I did enjoy the game, but had to make room for another that came in.

1K post mark BTW :)

I consider myself lucky, I only paid $425. I intend on cleaning the PF, replacing all connectors on the MPU, rebuilding the flippers and I would like to repaint the cabinet, but I can't find a stencil kit.
I am surprised it doesn't have more love, it isn't that bad of a game. My boys love it.

And I feel honored to be your 1K post. Thanks, and congrats on the milestone.

just got mine up and running tonight........its fairly fun......paid $100 for it....had been sitting for 18 years in the guys basement broke.....got it home and replaced the transformer and its fully working.....had to totaly disassemble the playfield to clean it and the plastics(grass hill) were a nightmare.....looks great now.....almost no wear on the playfield or cabinet.....love the pop bumpers simulating the machine gun sound when you hit the heli ramp

That's a steal!!. I love the pop bumpers too. I noticed 1 problem last night. I checked the feature settings and the "hostages" (locked balls) are not being released when the game is over. I have tried both available settings for that function, and the only way they get released is if they are retained and I turn the game off, then back on. But if you play several consecutive games without powering down, it will not release the balls in between games. How does your release the balls. (considering if you don't release them during game play)

in the game adjustments under feature options you can turn the captive ball hold on or off.....if you go to www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?gid=2272 you can look at the english manual and it describes the adjustments
game over hold captive balls.....enter 0 to eject or 1 to retain the balls

I think it's a setting in the setup menu. Have fun changing the settings. The menu system sucks. :)

$100 is a steal. I paid $450 about 5-6 years ago.

I have tried both settings and no change. It is currently set to 0 and still not releasing.
I've got the feature settings figured out pretty well,
Thoughts?

maybe remove the batteries to clear the memory and try to set it again

(assuming you have a remote battery holder)

She gently places her hands on my crotch, undoes the zipper, gets my pants & briefs out of the way. At the moment of exposure, she then shouts at the top of her lungs "Unleash the Crackon!" Thank you for asking :)
