Just picked up a Rowe CD100 - Some problems, but the price was right.
This thing is in immaculate physical condition, but has some issues mechanically. Picked it up for a song and hopefully don't have to do too much to get it going again.
I have been reading all of the posts here - great stuff from everyone (especially Ken). This is definitely a CD100 and not a CD100 A, B, C, etc.
Here is what I am burdened with:
Problem #1
The machine is set to free play. When you walk up to the machine and hit either "page right" or "page left", the display will physically move one page to the right or left, but then you will hear a clicking sound 4 or 5 times as if it is still trying to turn the page. No additional pages turn, but it sounds as if the mechanical armature is actually trying to turn the page several more times.
At this point, the keypad locks out certain numbers on the keypad and you would be lucky to be able to hit enough buttons to play a song. Once the machine is turned off and back on again, number selctions can be pressed again but as soon as you hit "page right" or "page left" the problem comes back.
Total pain in the ass ...
Problem #2
When a song is playing, intermittently the speakers will crackle, pop, and scratch. It almost sounds like a blown speaker, but it can't be due to the fact that it is so wildly intermittent. When this isn't happening, the music coming from the jukebox sounds great! I am guessing either an amplifier issue (I hope not) or possibly a power supply issue?
Any troubleshooting assistance you feel like throwing my way would be greatly appreciated.
