I forgot about that one. I have 2 boardsets and marquees. If its in mame, it was probably dumped off my boards.
I thought it was supposed to be a kit for something like beast busters. I think I got the boards from vendtronics before they closed (Like 1995). I remember seeing the guns on the control panel pile they had. I they looked like alien pistols. I should have grabbed them.
Thanks for the reminder. I just noticed 2 people are looking for pcbs on klov. I should email them.
I was talking to my buddy jim about it as he knows quite a bit about the game. He was part of a focus group back when the game was on test. He said a few were on test here in the bay area and it was a dedicated cab. I think he said it went into production in japan.
We were very lucky to grab them. He says they were a pain to dump the roms for the data. He was a bit surprised they were able to emulate it as its a unique pcb.
here is a pic of the marquee. I have 2 of them and 2 boards. I just need to get to the boards and test them.
The game was in full distribution globally but performed poorly everywhere and the unsold boards were converted into Lock N Loaded.
I've got 2 sets of parts for the games, just need the boards. Interesting thing about the guns is that they house a speaker for additional sound output like the Wii controllers.
I dug out the pcbs. 1 looks like it has proto roms, the other looks like production roms.
The games have different demo screens. One the data east logo spins up from background and fills the screen. the other just shows the data east screen.
I spoke to my buddy jim. He looked in mame and it looks like only 1 rom set is suppored. He think he only dumped the production looking roms.
The proto looking rom board plays demo, but I could not get it to credit up. It got too late to keep messing with them, so I can check it out again on sunday. Here are some pics:
