Just got one of these...

I've got one of those too.

It's kind of handy for generating test patterns for television sets. It does exactly what it looks like it does - crosshatch, dots, etc.

The output clips on to the VHF terminals of the television, tune to channel 3 (or it could be 2 or 4, I forget). The signal is pretty strong, so it'll show up on adjacent channels faintly, and I've had good luck using it even when the tuner in the TV is screwed up.

So not very useful for Arcade Monitors?

Not unless yours has RGB outputs somewhere. Mine does not. It's probably possible to hack it. It's handy for television sets though.

Personally, the best thing I've found for displaying test patterns on arcade monitors is a junk Midway board, like Mortal Kombat. The test mode has all the crosshatch and color bar tests, as well as solid color screens for doing purity adjustments.

Probably not... But you can always put it up on ebay or Craigs List and get something for it.
