Ive had this (Sega Monaco GP cockpit) for maybe a month now and finally got it going good. The problem was as normal it was damn dirty, so I cleaned it up real good then cleaned up the wiring where the shifter is. Not sure if its original or not but someone had added a coin up button and that was a mess. So some de-soldering, new wires and good solder she has been running now for over an hour.

Only question i have is the fan is real loud, but works great it moves a lot of air...Would a newer fan work quieter. would any fan work on this old game??? I would assume it would be the same. Anyways I am damn excited that this is working now i just need to get it into my small room....

From what I've read about your game, they are pretty difficult to get working well. Congratulations! The feeling of fixing something in this hobby never gets old :)

Thanks and this was in better shape then others only because it sat in this guys garage and he got it when he was 15. It had been sitting for around 15 years....Now onto my vs game..LOL always something to fix

Congrats!

Not familiar with Turbo cockpits, but I would think any fan would work as long as you can find the right voltages for it.

Still enjoying it, man. Now the two year old is playing it. It's great because you can die as many times as you want in the beginning. She has fun even if she doesn't qualify! :)
