Well I bought it for myself....very nice Tales from the Crypt. With the Topper and Door Handle.

Don't they normally come with a door handle ?

Well I just got it unloaded and have not had a chance to put the topper back on. Pics will be tomorrow. Love the artwork.

My game room is screwed. I have got to make room!

In the garage is the TFTC and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle....plus a bunch of other games. I even have games in storage and at friends house! I am sick!

One is for sale....I had one but found another in a little better condition. So I am shopping out the new one and selling the old one. I have an original topper for the new one as well.

It is currently on ebay.

Nice game but there is some damage to the left side....looks like it rubbed against something while transporting. I bought it that way. If you are local...come check it out.

Hey Garry,

Nice pickup on the TFTC. I love mine (have a JP as well).

Great combo.

Get some pics up and let us have a look.

Are all of your plastics on the TFTC intact?

The plastics behind the 3-bank Guillotine drop targets are often broken/missing. They are broken/missing on mine. No repros available either.

Great game.

Here are some pics....this is unshopped.

That plastic behind the drop targets is cracked. Hope I can find one......

Also, I noticed that the one red light behind the drop targets stays on all the time. This is not normal right? Thoughts on what is wrong?

Other than those items it looks nice....boards are perfect.

I'm jealous of your TFTC topper - I'm still looking for one.

OK, the plastics behind your drop targets are mostly there, but the lights are set up a little incorrectly.

The one on the upper left of the top plastic should have a "Spotlight" shroud and that is on all the time (GI).

The one on the upper right is CPU-controlled, and should be mounted between the two plastics, like this: (not my TFTC).

The Spot is usually aimed back and left, but you get the idea.

I have already replaced all of the red-condomed 555s with Green 555s and I like that look a lot better. YMMV.

AH....Thanks for the insight. But that does make sense. There are 3 lights there...the one red one that is ON, one that is blinking, and one between the plastics that is ON. I have an extra spotlight so I will correct that upper left one.

The upper plastic is OK but the lower one is cracked. It looks to be just red so I may be able to find some red plastic that I can cut to reproduce this one. Will see.

Are the toppers hard to find? I do see one on ebay for crazy money.

No idea where the 3rd light is from - never seen one wired up like that.

The lower red "horseshoe" plastic is almost always broken, and always in the same area - far left corner. That is where the Crypt Tombstone shot it so it takes a huge amount of abuse.

Really should have been designed better.

The topper is kind of hard to come by, but there is no way I am paying stupid money for it.

40 or 50 bucks, sure. 100? Not a chance.

I have the (NIB) Cryptkeeper Candleabara toy that a lot of TFTC owners use a a topper, and that is nice too.

I will be changing out all or most of the DE-style posts for B/W-style plastic star posts.

I think that looks a lot better and you get better bounce. The DE-style ones are kind of "dead".

I have scans of both the upper and lower skill shot plastics if you need them. Just PM me your email addy and I'll send them over.

The seller gave me one of those Crypt Candle guys...he had it on top. He used velcro to mount it. Will get to that later.

The shaker works great...I agree on the addition.

Here's a piece of advice.

Just finished refurbing a set of DE legs for my TFTC, letting the paint cure for 2 weeks.

When I was installing them today (new black leg bolts, levelers, and pincab protectors too), I found out there is not enough room for the pincab protector next to the Door Handle, so I had to cut a notch in the pincab protector to get it to fit.

Used my dremel with cutting disc and then cleaned up and smoothed out the cut area, looks and fits nicely now.

Let me know if you successfully paint match the cabinet blue - I have a few minor touch-ups to do.

I really wish someone would repro the plastics and at least the head decals.

My cab decals are quite nice, but the head decals could use replacement to be really spiffy.

It is a good candidate, and I have been bugging Kevin Wayte at Classic Playfields for 6 months to get the plastics repro'ed, but no success so far.

They originally had one of their artists slated to work on it but that turned out to be a bust.

You can get slingshot plastics, but that's about it.

Not even plastic protectors, but I have been working with someone at Marco for that.

Very frustrating.
