Just got done restoring this one. This so far is the funnest most challenging system 1 I have played.

I used blue acetate/transparency over the displays. Looks good

I have a Joker Poker that has flaking over the displays. Did you scrape off the old blue stuff? Where did you get the acetate?

I am glad you asked.

The safe way to refurbish the blue display areas of the back glass:
1) carefully and precisely tap over blue area. cut tape so that only the display areas are covered
2) spray triple thick over the back glass and let dry and cure. (this is done because the triple thick protects the rest of the back glass from the lacquer thinner used in next step)
3) Remove Tape. apply lacquer thinner to a rag and wipe away blue from back glass. repeat until clear. be careful so that you are not removing paint from any other area.
4) Use Novus 2 on cleared display area to clean up and polish.
5) go to Dick Blick and purchase acetate.
6) cut acetate to size and adhere to back glass (I just used painters tape for now)

and boom shakalaka there you go. beautifully refurbished display area.
