Two weeks ago I bought a single monitor playchoice arcade locally from craigslist that came with 14 game boards. Just got done restoring the cabinet. Bought some other game boards the past week and now I have enough extra games. So I decided to buy a dual monitor playchoice off of ebay 1500 miles away since I could not find one locally for sale. I gave the seller an offer with no games included since I already had most of them and he accepted it. Now I need to find a shipper. Im trying UShip online bidding for the first time.

This is one of the pics from the ebay ad. It has new tmolding and side art. But it needs a new overlay.

hope that's not the one from around here that was painted black, had a bunch of other quick sloppy cosmetic fixes in order to make it look good for the picture

The ebay seller name is timthearcadeguy from Winchester, CA. He also said both monitors and locks were replaced. I hope it is not the same one you are talking about.

yep, that's the one. you should search klov for tim the arcade guy, you will get a lot of hits.

I'm surprised he lowered the price enough for it to be worth your while with shipping...a nice dual pc-10 with no games shouldnt be more than $500 all in

"locks replaced" is always a good rule of thumb for bad sellers...i mean really wow, you replaced the locks? that's a selling point? Also iirc he replaced the monitors with flat screens...I would definitely check that out

Oh great, now u got me worried. Just as long as everything works good. I can always restore the outside like I did the first playchoice I bought.
I guess I learned the hardway. Next time I will do a little research before buying. He does have 100% ebay feedback rating. That is what I went by before making an offer.
To bad I can't get anyone the knows and lives near him to check the game out to make sure everything works before I have it shipped off.

I'm sure it works fine, but I'd want clarity on whether it has the original black vinyl or was painted black (i think it's the latter) and whether it has two crt monitors in it or lcd's.

Better question, why are 2 cocktail games standing on each other in the corner of that pic?

And it looks like at least the bottom monitor is a crt as long as the picture is current

Vinyl? My pc10 dual doesn't have any vinyl, are they supposed to have vinyl on the outside?

The monitors he replaced are SANYO original to the machine. So far he has been a great guy to deal with. He has responded to all my emails in a timely matter. He doesn't charge a pallet fee like some sellers on ebay. Plus he is said that is he going to wrap up the arcade to protect it in shipping for free. I don't know the final result until I receive the arcade to know what really the condition it is in.

I believe I bought my CP overlay from Arcadoverlays.com, it looks good, but make sure you use a little heat from a heat gun when installing, I had to bead blast my CP as the Nintendo originals were fairly stubborn with gunk. I have a few sanyo monitors in storage I believe for backup if indeed you end up needing them, I keep stuff like this for backup..
