Another CL find, this one in MN:

This one is obviously a conversion, but the question is, from what? It's definitely a Taito Trimline, and there's no separate cashbox like on my Crazy Climber Trimline. My guess? A Jungle King / Jungle Hunt conversion. But, maybe you can help. Take a look at some pictures...

Control panel & monitor glass out. Hurts to see something as rare as a Jungle Hunt / King cabaret converted but, if someone was gonna convert a mini to Elevator Action, this would be the cabinet to use. You can see the marquee is a UR marquee cut down...

Green around the monitor area, and one window for the instructions (not divided like the Crazy Climber window). Typed instructions. Can't think of another Trimline glass this would be other than Jungle Hunt / King, but someome who knows more can chime in.

Take a look at the grass motif on the green CP overlay. I've seen this before, but where? Mr. Do! stuff, maybe?

(More pictures to come...)

Boards. Taito people: take a look at what's plugged in and what's not. Maybe it's another clue as to what this was converted from...

Chips on the board...

Marks on the board...

These are no longer plugged in. Did they go to the previous boarset?

Back of the CP. See which holes have been covered up?

I think this might be from another machine. ;)

What's with the Cinematronics coin door? I seen that machine on the MN craigslist also, wasn't it someone here on the forum selling it?

Service switch on the back of the door. Is this Taito...or Cinematronics?

You can see the marquee light panel lying flat on the cash box here. Kind of strange. Looks like it's hooked into power, but I put a bulb in one of the sockets and got nothing. Haven't tested voltages yet.

For now, it works pretty darn well.

No plans to de-convert this (not like the parts would be available). I might eventually get that green stuff off the CP and get an Elevator Action CP repro'ed and shrunk down the fit the panel. For now, I'm just gonna enjoy it as is `cause, as some people know, this is one of my favorite games. :D

They might have, but I never saw it for sale on here.

I dunno why there's a Cinematronics coin door on there. I posted the test switch above - it seems to be hooked up, but I dunno if it's Taito or Cinematronics...

I've read that most Wild Western cabs were later converted to Elevator Action back in the day, and that board set looks identical to my Wild Western PCBs, right down to the "WW070001A" on the corner of the top main board (although my Wild Western is "WW070001") and the "WW070004" on the edge of the small daughterboard (matches mine exactly).

There are two Wild Western ROM set revisions in MAME. I'm guessing I have set 1 and yours was originally Wild Western set 2, converted to Elevator Action with ROM swaps.

That's great information - thank you! So, a Wild Western to Elevator Action boardset is what I have.

I'm guessing that the machine, though, probably wasn't a WW mini `cause of the orientation of the monitor and glass...

I think that was Steve, e-mail is something like swm_productions or something. He is always putting ads out to buy stuff. I think he is in Mankato.

Connector R16 would go to the 2nd control panel in a cocktail cabinet. On some of the games this is missing and others, it is left hanging like yours.

The WW numbers don't necessarily indicate it was a Wild Western. Many of the Taito boards have this marking. Pull the ROM board off the top and take a picture of IC14 and IC24. Conversions to EA would have a 'jumper plug' in a socket at IC14.

The color scheme on the bezel looks like the same as an upright Jungle Hunt.

Thanks for the info; this is good. At some point, I'll have a look.

Does the Jungle Hunt bezel also have the same-shaped instruction window?

Based on the covered up button holes, it could have been a Moon Shuttle mini.

It's close, but the Moon Shuttle mini shares far more in common with the Crazy Climber mini. Note the separate cashbox and the two windows on the lower part of the bezel (one for instructions, one for game price).
