Jurassic Park, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Twister -- Meet at Kingsport Auction?

-----TWISTER HAS BEEN SOLD-----

I'm looking to freshen up the collection and have Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Twister to trade. (JP is no longer available -- sorry.)

(NOTE: I have decided that I am also open to outright sales of these machines: $1,600 for Mary Shelley's Frankenstein -- $1,400 for Twister.)

I live in Harrison, TN (just a few minutes north of Chattanooga, TN), but will be going to the auction in Kingsport, TN on Saturday, September 8, and would be able to bring any (or all) of these games with me for a meet-up.

I'm predominately interested in DMD-era Bally/Williams & Stern machines, but would consider anything as long as it's not an EM.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein: Fully working. DMD is in perfect working order. Playfield is in great condition. I have just recently installed brand new playfield glass and a new translite.

Twister: I've been working on this machine for a couple years and have over $1,700 invested in it. The game is fully playable, but wants to blow a spinner disc fuse at the first or second multiball sequence. I don't have the knowledge needed to fix this problem, and am tapping out.

One of the legs is bent a little (and they all could use a repainting) and there's an exit gate assembly (part # 515-6490-01-41) missing on the loop ramp (not sure how it even affects the game), but otherwise, the machine is solid and plays fine.

The playfield is in great condition. I just recently replaced the bad DMD it had (which you can see in the pics), and it now has a nice DMD that works perfectly. I've also recently hired a tech to go throughout the entire machine, straightening out any dodgy wiring.

Below is a list of the many new parts I've installed:

  • New Dorothy canister
  • New magnet driver board (with new PIC chip)
  • New metal Sensor Ball "Flight"
  • New repro manual
  • New magnet coil on disc
  • New rubbers across the entire playfield
  • New game and display ROMS (latest version)
  • New flipper coils
  • New Molex/Trifurcon connectors on magnet board
  • New Backbox Lock (complete assembly)
  • New targets for T-W-I targets
  • New custom light sockets for T-E-R targets (a workaround for the missing lightboard)
  • New roll-over drop target
  • New shooter rod (entire assembly)
  • New auto-launcher (entire assembly)
  • New switches and diodes (far too many to count)
  • New Opto Board Set - Receiver/Transmitter
  • New Premium Ultra-Gloss Pinballs from Pinball Life
  • New (left) slingshot plunger & link
  • New fluorescent bulb
  • New transformer/wiring harness connector
  • New relay board for fan toy
  • New clear flasher caps
  • New bulbs (across the entire playfield)
  • New pop bumper cap
  • ...and I'm sure some other little things I can't recall at the moment.

I apologize, but I've had a change of heart and just can't commit to letting JP go. I think I would certainly end up regretting it, and have decided to hold onto it for now.

Better to remove it from the table now, before any deals had been made with anyone.

I can understand that, I have JP and have no intentions of selling. A lot of people we have over love playing it and I play it as regular as my others. I have your Twister Pin too...looked for one for quite some time and am equally fond of it too. I honk you have a reasonable price on it. Good luck with the sale.

pins

the Frankenstein pin was mine a few years ago before it was traded to Joey--it is a very nice pin and plays great--someone will be very happy with it if they make a trade or buy it--hope to see some fellow KLOV members in Kingsport!
