Jurassic Park Light Bulb/Manual Schematic contridiction

So, I picked up my third pinball yesterday. A very nice condition Jurassic Park, its only real flaw is that it is dirty and needs some basic maintenance like a flipper rebuild and new rubbers.

I want to try out LEDs for the first time and want to begin with the inserts on the Jurassic Park. So, I took a look in the manual at the Lamp Bulb Parts section and was immediately amazed at how inaccurate the schematic was.

Here is the schematic:

Here is the most obvious section of the playfield:

Here is the same section under the playfield:

and here is the bulb:

So, as you may or may not have noticed, in this section the manual says that 44s should be used, but this section is all 555s.

Has someone done something odd with my machine or is the schematic that wrong?

Unfortunately you will run into this sort of thing a lot. Sometimes the manuals were put together before the game was finalized, so any last minute tweaks might not make it. Lamps and rubbers especially can have errors, but switches, coils, etc can even be listed wrong from time to time. Best to just go by eye as Russ said.
