I had never heard of or played this game until this summer. I play it daily now at work and it is a blast!! It reminds me allot of a vertical scrolling version of defender. How hard would it be to find a dedicated cabinet? I can only assume the game is rare but not unatainable. I have been playing it on a Multi PCB.

I had a hell of a time finding one here in Canada. Played this a ton as a kid. Awesome game. I've heard people say it reminds them of defender but I've never thought so. The only thing is maybe the sound of the ships firing but the gameplay is nothing like Defender IMO.

Great game. First game I ever rolled the score over on.
I'd love to find a dedicated cab, but they just don't seem to pop up, at least around me. The PCB rarely shows up either. Like Williams boards, they are plagued with 4116 RAM, but even worse... as they're soldered in. Converted my board to run 4164 instead, and it's been solid ever since.

Juno 1st is actually better than Defender imho. A LOT better..I sold off my dedicated Juno back in the late '90's but now have it on my 60/1 set up. It's a keeper. Great sounds, even better gameplay. FWIW, I really don't like Wms games or how they play (sorry). I had a Multi Williams and NEVER played it. Ended up selling it with no regrets.

Juno first is the best.. got a dedicated. Love it! It is a lot like a vertical
defender IMHO..sounds are similiar. DJ DNS was looking for one
well over a year I believe. Not easy to find the pcb or the
dedicated cab.

i wish someone would repro the CPOs and bezels. that's all i would need to make a nice one with my project cabinet.

great game and i'll hopefully have mine working in time for the NW Pinball and Arcade Show next year!

I had one for a while. Great sounds on a better than average game. Neat cab too.

when i get my machine together, i'll make it #3!

i think i got my board off of eBay for about $60, in part because the seller listed it as a Juno Forth or some error in the proper name.

showed up missing one of the bank of resistors in the audio section but Bob set me right and i had it repaired in no time.

oh, and how the heck do i order anything from that guy when everything is in Spanish? don't need a complete set, just the bezel, inner piece, and the CPO.

We just realized that we have the ability to warp!! I had no idea the game had that feature as our machine only has one button on each side of the joystick. My highest so far is 169,000+ and I can get as far as level 9 without warps. Time to add two more buttons to the CP!!!

I played Juno First for the first time 4 years ago at funspot and instantly fell in love with it. I would love to get a dedicated machine as well- I think it would fit perfectly next to my Vanguard.

Anyone have any high score tips?? I try to let the enemies cluster up,shoot the asteroid and then collect on the bonus usually getting around 3300 points. Of course time being a factor in the scoring makes it harder for me. Is there anything I am leaving out of my gameplay?

I just recently discovered this game via Mame and have fallen in love with it. It too reminds me of Defender, but I find it more fun. I would love to have cab for it.
