I was recently at a local junk yard and and to my disbelief there where 2 young kids beating a 1984 Midnight Marauders arcade game with sledge hammer. I managed to stop them but the damage was done. They had torn one side of the cabinet off and cut some of the wiring. I bought the machine on the spot. The cabinet is beyond repair but the gun and glass are in nice shape. Internal parts look good to. One of the young men explained they had removed the game from the basement of an older home that had 20 plus pinball machines and this was the last one they had removed. They junked all of the pinball machines the week before. People who junk for a living do not seem to care what they are junking as long as they get 10 cents a pound. I do find good stuff at the junk yard and try to buy back what i can. This is the second machine i have found at the junk yard in less than a year. anyone looking for Midnight Marauder parts ?

wow, that looks like it's a really rare game and might be worth building a new cabinet for (or doing whatever to repair that one) if it's otherwise complete.

Not looking for parts, but I do have a MM marquee hanging on my wall.

I used to work for a 1800got junk franchise (before I was really into the hobby). The policy of the company was to donate or recycle as much as possible before having to go to the dump, and under no circumstance were we to keep an item we collected. However, if I ever saw an arcade game (working or not) it would have been in my apartment. Destroy the game? How weird. Guess thats how some junk-haulers were raised. Lol
