Ok, so for the last few weeks I've been dragging home tvs from our local recycling center. They are free, and I can take as many as I want.. My issue is, I can't figure out which tubes will work with most arcade chassis..

I've used this site:http://www.junknet.net/donor-tvs

But I haven't found any of the tvs he's listed.. Heh, I've got a stack of 20 19" tvs in the garage now.. All from 1979-1989

Some are 8 pin, some are 9.. I know you can use 8 pin on k7000.. But I'd like to find some go7 ones.. I'd also like to learn how to meter the tube..

Do you think a tube section on Klov would be a good idea? A place where people could document which tubes or tv models work the best? As monitors are getting quite hard to find, and there are PLENTY of garbage tube tvs out there..

I think this would be a great resource for collectors!

not needed...here is what i do....print out the bk precision setup chart with the tube numbers, take chart to goodwill or like store, use flashlight to look thru the grates in the back to get the tube number then find it on the chart. for g07's you want a cr-23 adapter. if you find a cr-23 tube keep the tv, its a crap shoot if the yoke will match close enough or not...most of the time it doesn't but you will get lucky once in a while. if the yoke doesn't match you must swap from your old tube.

This has already been done. Here is one thread for you (there are others):

And here is a page maintained by one of our members to keep track of all the we know of so far. If you come across some that aren't on the list, submit the info:

I picked up 3 13" TVs from the goodwill a couple of weeks ago.

I was looking for a replacement tube for my Millipede cocktail.

Funny thing was that none of the 3 TVs had a compatible tube (the pin arrangement on the neck is different), but each TV had the exact same tube number in it!

I'll have to find my notes to see what it was. I know that it matched a tube on the shelf from a cocktail Taito Space Invaders.

Nice! I've only got one 25" TV and one 19" TV right now, but they both are CR 23 if I remember right. My local Goodwill usually sells 19" tv's for $5 or $10, but if a recycling center will hook you up that's even better.

Here were the models and tube numbers I found in my 13" search:
I got 3 cheap TVs with the same tube inside, but the pinouts on the neck are not compatible with the G07 neckboard.

Thomson model 13GP211A aug-96 tube:370KSB22
Montgomery Ward model JSA12230 Nov-88 tube:370KSB22
Panasonic (w VHS) model PV-M1323-A sept-94 tube:370KSB22

I DID discover that this tube is the same as one pulled from a cocktail Space Invaders.

Keep in mind some of the more modern thin-neck tubes that may not readily work in a G07 are STILL good for newer K7000s and lesser-known chassis like the Wells 1976 (I think?).

I'm away for a few days but if anyone sends me tv/tube info for the site I'll get it all posted up.
