I recently picked up a Taito classic cabinet which had been converted to an NFL Blitz, in all its textured paint glory, with the goal of restoring it to Jungle King (I have a board set with a high-score-saves multi kit installed).
Slowly removing the paint with a small scraper and some Goof-Off as a solvent. Is it worth the hassle, or, should I just sand it down and repaint the whole cabinet? I've never stenciled before, so, that could be a challenge. Also, even though I am being very careful, original paint is coming off after I wipe the cabinet gently, as you can see in the photos. This makes me think even more so that I am wasting my time with the scraping. Thoughts?
The monitor is not working on this cabinet...AC voltage is being supplied for sure from the transformer. I am pretty certain this is not the original monitor, and could use some help identifying it. The frame markings are for the original monitor, I believe. Do any of the photos below help identify it? Thanks!
