Working!!
Okay its finally working!
I rebuilt the wire with a thinner gauge...I hooked it up the same way as before...
I think the issue may not have been the wire though...
I had mentioned previously that it would automatically add credits and start a 2 player game...well after putting the control panel in place I felt the 2 player button and noticed the wires were pushing against it, thus making the button have contact.
I moved the wires away, restarted the game and all seems to be working as expected!!
