I don't know if anyone has posted this before but here's a free site for your title strips.

http://www.mikesarcade.com/arcade/titlestrips.html

You get a choice of background colours, three different type faces and other enhancements. Here's an example of some of mine which are "colour co-ordinated" with my jukebox. They print off fine as long as you don't let your computer "scale to fit."
(I changed the colour from the ones you can see in my avatar)

I keep a copy of them all on file in case the site disappears.

I made my own. I have 5 different colors, have them arranged in a pattern, and can use any fonts I want/have. Here are a few shots.

You can also see my computer generated pattern and most current song list here: The Arcade Soundtrack.

I do have 2 new hard-to-find titles to be added soon. Then it's time to make more title strips.

I tried ordinary general purpose printing paper at first, but the background with the light colour I use looked a bit blotchy. So I used a "super smooth découpage paper" (no idea what that is) I pinched from my wife's stock of the various papers she uses pursuing her hobby of making greetings cards. It's only slightly thicker. I did try using an opaque paper but she didn't have any which wasn't glossy, so the ink tended to bleed ever so slightly.
This is the result of the paper I am using. The pictures aren't as sharp as "the real thing" as I've used a little Panasonic Lumix digital camera which also does short videos.

Best to run off a test sheet and check, it depends how strong is your back-light I guess.

There's a facility to use various boxes for the artists' names and you can add a small genre tag.
I like the way the site alters the type width to fit the label and then centres everything.

Here's another free site for downloading title strips. This site includes title strips for CD jukeboxes as well. http://www.cdadapter.com/tstrips.htm
It's always handy to have an alternative site in case one disappears.

But this one it says you can't save the labels, you have to print off copies.

On the one I linked you can save them to your documents and reprint them again at any time and as often as you like. You could save the same labels in different colours if you choose, to make a change, or if you get a different jukebox.

So what style paper can I get that I'll be able to easily find that will look okay backlit....that paper mentioned I've never heard of...I know I've seen the jukebox strips being sold...but does those programs allow you size it for precut cut strip paper...

$50 for a programme seems a bit steep to me.

The paper I use is just slightly thicker than ordinary cheap printer paper. The strips are only illuminated by a 3ft fluorescent on my box situated along the front of the machine, it also illuminates the Rock-Ola name at the front of the glass. It has to penetrate the opaque title strip holders "side on" and it works fine.
I've a paper guillotine I use for trimming the photographs I run off and this enables me to cut the strips accurately. If I ever make a mistake then I find the file on my computer and click on "print" and run off another sheet.

As you'll see in message #4 the results are quite acceptable.

You can experiment by choosing the various set ups and creating a file to see what it looks like, then try it out on a few labels, for the cost of one sheet of paper.
