I have a Jrok board in my Stargate, set to boot to Stargate, freeplay.

Stargate works as it should.

I just noticed that I can't start a game of Defender or Joust. I can select the games and see the attract screen, but cannot coin up or start a game of either.

I can start a game of Robotron, not that I can play it with my Stargate CP...haha!

Any ideas?

Boot into Joust and Defender and use the Auto Up and Advance switch to reset the game settings to factory default. The NVM may have become corrupted or the settings are off.

Edit: A fun thing you can do with Joust is set the coinage to '0' coins per slot.. then when you coin the game it'll say "ready for dual play" but show '0' credits and never let you start a game :)

I can't start a game of Joust now! When I use auto up and advance to get into the settings menu for joust, the stick will not move to any of the settings....

Go into the system menu and use the "switch test" option see what switches are reporting open and closed.

Turn off the fast-boot and boot into Joust and then use advance to go through the tests make sure it passes ROM & RAM test and then and use the the switch test screen so see if the stick & buttons are reporting, check the menu settings and make sure freeplay is enabled.

Edit: and in the settings screen Joust uses left/right to step between settings, joystick up/down doesn't do anything in Joust.

Haha...dammit! Its been awhile since I owned a Joust, I forgot the sticks are Left and Right...duh! That explans why the Stargate sticks do nothing! Thank you for your patience!
