Any good place to buy these things? Heard the creator is no longer making them, and I really wanted to convert a Defender into one. Or for that matter, anyone know where to buy a Clay Cowgil board?

Jrok Multi-Williams PCB MWMS WSF(Williams system FPGA)

These are completely sold out according to James (jrok).

In order to make another run the blank pcb's will have to be run again and some parts sourced. They will probably be made again eventually but with the Multi-Mylstar still on the bench and all the part/board sourcing to do over it will be a while.
The last few boards have sold privately for $350+ each when you can find them.

Yeah me too. I haven't seen them sell for that much. I was one of the last ones to buy mine when they pop up not to long ago and I sure didn't pay that much, but will sell it right now for $350.

Wow, 350 huh? Makes me want to consider selling mine

i bought mine in late october/november and he had a few available then. i wouldn't sell mine, though, regardless of price, unless i got a robotron, bubbles, joust, sinistar, and defender in trade for it...

I think $350 is a little much, I know one sold the other day on here for $250(I think).
But if there's a demand, some people will be making some cash when Jrok could be.
But someone has to make a board with BERZERK on it..
It's such a simple game...

for $350 you could put together a decent pc and mame it up, no idea what the difference between the jrok board and mame is, if anything there probably isn't significant difference. I'd also probably sell mine for $350

the difference is MAME is emulation and jrok's board is supposed to run on the proper hardware or processor or whatever. I guess this is also why his board can only run certain titles rather than just any williams games because some are not compatible with the correct design or whatever. So basically jroks boards should be exactly like playing the original game on the original board provided you have the correct controls for each game of course. Personally I believe James will eventually do another run of these as they have been a good seller. I would simply give it time as he has a life and other projects as well. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if he did another run of these around the time he releases the multi mylstar project. If it were me I'd just wait or even pay a nice chunk of cash for a jrok if it popped up. I think they were 175 new IIRC. Honestly $250 or even $350 is not a ton for this board IMO. It's worth it.

well, i know of one douchebag on here who bought 2 different multiboards from klovers who assumed they gave him a good deal to help him out thinking he needed the boards, only to have him turn right around and sell them back on here for a profit. Talked to one of the guys involved on the phone about it, and he related the story of the 2nd board that was flipped quickly for a profit, as it came from a good friend of his.

But then again, the guy i'm talking about is infamous for pulling underhanded, douchebag shit like this.

yeah unfortunately that happens. Have seen it happen with complete games too. someone gives a great deal to another KLOVer because the person swears up and down they love the game and need to have. The buyer gets the must have game keeps it for a few weeks and then flips it for like twice as much as they bought it for or more. Funny thing is the attitudes of some of the seller/flippers who react to offers like people are trying to scam them when they are offered less than their asking price (which is still more than they bought the game for). I basically choose not to buy from or sell to those people.

I've also had the people here settle on a deal even going so far as to talk on the phone and tell me how glad they are that the game is going to another collector only to turn around and sell the game off when offered a higher price. Then basically turn around and say sorry I was offered more.

yep.. and about all you can do is not deal with people like that. I have been selling off my collection, and i am either trying to sell it for what what i paid for it or less, if i haven't really done anything with the game. Some of them i am trying to make some money on, but they have had extensive work done to them, restored, parts bought for them, etc.

Hell, i gave away an empty asteroids deluxe to a klov member, and gave a complete battlezone to another klover for some monitor/board repair.

Perf is correct, probably coz I talk to him regularly ;) All the boards are sold out right now.

I want to get the Mylstar board finished before I do a new run of WMS boards. Which I need to make a few revisions to before the next batch.
